Coach Gunderson and the team, spent countless hours finalizing the ring design. Every design element of the ring has an intentional meaning and great significance.
Depiction of the XCEL CENTER in St. Paul. This was the last HS Hockey Tournament to be played under the XCEL name as the stadium’s naming rights changed in September 2025.
Both the WILDCAT LOGO and DC LOGO were used.
The phrase: FIRST IN HISTORY is found twice on the ring, on opposing sides. This the first State Championship in Dodge County’s programs history. Additionally, this is the first HS girls hockey team, south of the metro area, to ever win a State Championship.
Each ring is personalized with the PLAYERS NAME and JERSEY NUMBER
The inside of the ring depicts the dramatic way in which the Championship was won. The team requesting a REVIEW of the play, which confirmed the OVERTIME goal and a 4-3 victory
The bottom of the band has the team motto: BE LEGENDARY This phrase is also posted in the girls lockerroom.
